AI Scribe

How does the AI scribe work?
The Lime AI Scribe listens during patient encounters (with consent) and automatically generates clinical documentation — including OASIS assessments, HOPE assessments, and daily visit notes. Clinicians review and approve all notes before they are submitted.
Does the scribe record automatically?
No. Recording is always initiated by the clinician through an affirmative action in the app. The app never listens or records in the background.
Does the AI scribe work in languages other than English?
Yes. The Lime AI Scribe supports multi-language encounters including English and Spanish, with instant translation for your EMR documentation.
Can the scribe handle multiple speakers or group visits?
Yes. Our AI can distinguish between speakers and accurately document group visits or encounters with multiple participants (patient, caregiver, clinician).
Does the scribe work offline?
The scribe requires an internet connection to process audio and generate documentation. However, recordings can be queued if connectivity is temporarily lost and processed when the connection is restored.

How does AI-powered ICD-10 coding work?
Lime analyzes clinician notes and suggests the most accurate ICD-10 codes based on the clinical documentation. Coders review and approve all code suggestions before submission — the AI serves as a co-pilot, not a replacement.
How does the OASIS review catch errors?
Our AI automatically reviews completed OASIS assessments for inconsistencies, missing data points, and common errors. It flags issues in real time so your QA team can correct them before they impact reimbursement or compliance.
Does Lime replace my QA and coding staff?
No. Lime Health AI is designed as a co-pilot for your existing team. It helps your QA reviewers and coders work faster and more accurately, but all outputs require human review and approval.

EMR Integration

Which EMR systems does Lime integrate with?
Lime Health AI integrates with major post-acute EMR systems including HCHB (Homecare Homebase), WellSky, KanTime, MatrixCare, Axxess, and Netsmart. Notes, codes, and QA results sync directly to your EMR.
How does EMR integration work?
We connect to your EMR using credentials you provide and authorize. Data syncs automatically — notes, codes, and QA results flow directly into your EMR with no double entry required.
What if my EMR isn't listed?
We're continuously adding new integrations. Contact us to discuss your specific EMR and we'll work with you on a solution.

Security & Compliance

Is Lime Health AI HIPAA compliant?
Yes. Lime Health AI is fully HIPAA compliant. All patient data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We maintain a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with every agency.
Where is patient data stored?
All data is stored on HIPAA-compliant cloud infrastructure within the United States, with encryption, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication, and comprehensive audit logging.
Do you sell patient data?
Never. We do not sell, share, or use protected health information (PHI) for marketing, advertising, or any purpose unrelated to providing our services to you.
What happens to recordings after notes are generated?
Audio recordings are processed to generate clinical documentation and are retained in accordance with your agency's data retention policies and our BAA. You can request deletion at any time.
